July 29 CONVERGENT THINKINGENLIGHTENMENT OF A DIFFERENT KIND
Just spend three days on the beautiful Gold Caost, Surfers Paradise, on the annual professional development Conference. Approximately eighty of us from all around the state of Queensland, gathered together for three days to enrich the once a year social networking. Let me assure you that it is not just the lectures and fabulous presenters that draw us together. The hilarious late nite partying that goes hand in hand with such a packed agenda is all justified for morally sustainable reasons
The theme for our Conference was Nurturing Creation.
And wow what fantastic presenters; we certainly were rocked off our seats yet with a sense of informed proactive visioning.
Speakers had this to say, a quick rehash of indelible facts:
GOBALISATION - Converging technology is where, our car which will have a computer device in it will tell us that our refrigerator needs certain foods that can be found in a certain place in the favourite shop. Sounds mighty fabulous!
The average Australian Carbon contribution is $20,000 @ year yet Australia is a world leader with up to date statistics on Health and Community services
A 600ml bottle of water has enough carbon in it to drive a car 300 metres, so buying that bottle water is not a great helper after all.
Detribalisation of political party: Nationalist parties broken into Far Right, New Right and Old Right. An attitude of "Do unto others before they do unto you," has emerged.
Terrorism is a mojor cause of death but not the major reason eg 3,000 people died in 9/11 yet 5,000 US people died from food poisoning that year.
Germans (most educated at turn of 20 century) gave us the concentration camps. Therefore there is no connection between education and morality.
The Polar caps are the canaries of the earth.
During 1998, one of the hottest years on record, (2005 was the hottest), world lost 60% of its corals. By 2050 90% of Barrier Reef will be bleached if we don't ACT!
Climate change costs us $1.14 billion @ year. Hurrican Katrina cost $184 billion and Hurrican Larry cost $1 billion.
20 cms increase in sea level in past three decades.
Western Pine Beetle (US) and Spruce Bark Beetle (Alaska) have killed 14m acres of pine trees.
The maps of the world will have to be redrawn due to climate change.
Three factors cause collision between humans and earth: population explosion (World War Two population was 2.3 billion, 2005 popluation is 6.5 billion and in 2050 it will be 9.1 billion); scientific and technological revolution and our way of thinking.

July 20 things that matter'Albertine' I am sitting still .........................................
......................................................................................... "I don't have any grandiose illusions about being the saviour of the world, but I hope that I can play a little part. I would rather be considered a fool for thinking I can make a difference than for not doing anything " The story behind Albertine is a very touching one. Not very long ago, Brooke went to Rwanda on a World Vision Campaign. Her guide, a veteran of the devastating wars in Rwanda over the past few decades, showed her a village and introduced her to a little orphan girl called Albertine. She asked Brooke to pen a song about her and Brooke agreed. Now, in her first song (also called Albertine) she says she will “…tell the world, [she] will tell them Albertine...”. And, she does just that but that’s not all. This album is about all the things in this world that matter to her – be it things like her love for Africa or her passion for justice, authenticity and faith.
This 22-year-old is all set to impress the world…again.
Facts about RWANDA:
What am I into right now? · Music, as always, inspires me to think OTHER. Yeah, Brooke Fraser, is hitting an authentic tempo with the world around me right now. What are we doing about our brothers and sisters who are left to clean up the mess bestowed on them by the insanity of war?????? · Reading A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS by Khaled Hosseini. With the passing of time comes Taliban rule over Afghanistan, the streets of Kabul loud with the sound of gunfire and bombs, life a desperate struggle against starvation, brutality and fear, Mariam and Laila's endurance tested beyond their worst imaginings. In the end it is love that triumphs over death and destruction. An amazing triumph of the human spirit. · Meditation has become a regular night time wind down which is providing so much balance and clearing of unwanted clutter in my life. · Pampering the body at Body Bliss, my seafront beauty haven, luxuriating in body massages and treatments to enhance that feel good euphoria. · Travel, planning a trip to Canberra with a bunch of amazing and energetic friends in September already has me on fire with passion for what I truly love to do best. · Loving and being loved by those who bring me so much beauty and joy. Not wanting anymore but indulging in what ALREADY IS....whoohooo, life cannot get any better.

July 06 THE ALL EXCUSES PERSONTHE ALL EXCUSES PERSON
I see your face every time I dream [from Def Leppard's Photograph, written about Marilyn]
he's just not that into you the no-excuses truth to understanding guys by GREG BEHRENDT & LIZ TUCCILLO
he's just not into you if he's not calling you
a man who likes you wants yo spend time with you. you know they mean it when they do what they said they were going to do. Calling when you say you are going to is the very first brick in the house you are building of love and trust. If he can't lay this one stupid brick down, you ain't never going to have a house today. And it's cold outside. You should be dating a man who is as good as his word.
"Really busy," is just another way of saying "just not that into you." I'm about to make a wild, extreme and severe relationship rule: The word "busy" is a load of crap and is most often used by assholes. The word "busy" is the realtionship Weapon of Mass Destruction. Remember men are never too busy to get what they want. Meeting someone you like and dating him is suppoced to make you feel better, not worse. That's a good rule to live by.
100% of men polled said they've never been too busy to call a woman they were really into. As one fine man said, "A man has got to have his priorities."
he's just not that into you if he's not dating you. Beware of the word 'friend'. He only has to be responsible for the expectations of a friend, rather than the far greater expectations of a boyfriend. Men, just like women, want to feel emotionally protected when a relationship starts to become serious. A man who's really into you is going to want you all to himself. And why wouldn't he, hot stuff?
It's about the guy who wants you, calls you, makes you feel sexy and desired fully. He wants to see you more and more often because every time he sees you, he likes and then loves you more and more.
NO MORE MURKY, NO MORE GRAY, NO MORE UNIDENTIFIED, AND NO MORE UNDECLARED! TRY TO KNOW SOMEONE AS BEST AS YOU CAN BEFORE YOU GET NAKED WITH THEM
he' just not into you if he's not having sex with you
Oh the things they' ll say...thy're scared, hurt, tired, injured, sick, scared (again). If he were into you, he would be having a hard time keeping his paws off you. If a man is not trying to undress you, he's not into you. Move on, go meet someone worthy of your affection. "His loss."
LEARN IT, LIVE IT, LIKE IT, LOVE IT: IF A MAN LIKES YOU, HE'S GOING TO WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH YOU.
he's just not that into you if he's having sex with someone else (There's never going to be a good excuse for cheating)
Don't ever date a man who doesn't know why he does things.
LET'S CALL CHEATING WHAT IT IS: A COMPLETE BETRAYAL OF TRUST. CHEATERS ARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE A LOT OF STUFF TO WORK OUT AND THEY ARE WORKING IT OUT ON THEIR TIME WITH YOUR HEART. CHEATERS NEVER PROSPER BECAUSE THEY SUCK. A CHEATER ONLY CHEATS HIMSELF, BECAUSE HE DOESN'T GET TO BE WITH YOU.
Don Wilder
Excuses are the nails used to build a house of failure. Edward R. Murrow
Difficulty is the excuse history never accepts. George Washington Carver
Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses. Laura Schlessinger
People with integrity do what they say they are going to do. Others have excuses. Erica Jong
The trick is not how much pain you feel but how much joy you feel. Any idiot can feel pain. Life is full of excuses to feel pain, excuses not to live; excuses, excuses, excuses. Doug Brown
It is easier to find an excuse than to find a reason. Florence Nightingale
I attribute my success to this:I never gave or took an excuse. Art Turock
There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results. Greg Hickman
Don't make excuses, make something incredible happen in your life right now. July 04 BEAUTYSong Of the MysticBEAUTY
And the child spoke unto the Mystic: "Master speak to me of Beauty, for I have And the Mystic answered, saying: You are wrong my child; many were the
July 01 ECSTATIC ILLUSIONARY MOMENTS OF SPONTANEITY
Am ecstatic and over the moon, even if it is full moon, right at this moment. Yeah, my longings have been answered. Have the dreamed about ME FREE TIME that seemed so far out of reach yesterday. The past week of holidays have been sprinkled with family, friends and children dotting the household on a constant basis. Shopping and preparing a plethoria of cuisine left me winded and on a crazy spin. Not to mention the insane lack of communication from the children's father.
The plan swung into action last nite, after I dropped children off to their father. Stopped in to do the big catch up with Ms Guided and Ms Extreme to find out that plans had changed and yes we were going out on the town for the nite. Flexibility is indeed one of the girl's strongest assets. After moments of indulging and warm up dance routines to Pink on DVD we all looked extremely fabulous. Moi, was given the ultimate make-ova by the Divas of Clubbing and the new look Diva Moi was just awesome. So stunning were the divas, that when we hit the pub, we felt heads which were glued to the Wallaby versus New Zealand match, spun in circles. Had ineberiated Rosco rush me with an invite to his table and later informed me that my handbag was just amazing. Well, that line just did not do the trick there.
Meanwhile, the divas were reminding some of their hunky, funky guys from last weekend's wild escapade at the Club, of the update on the finale at the Bay. Hair raising is not the word here, Ms Extreme has been asked not to come back for three months. Rivetting and insanely funny archival mementos to be recorded here.
Had cute young Rasti Matt sit with me whilst Ms Guided directed traffic in Ms Extreme's betting circle. Vera hilarious and wonderful counsel from the Guided one, on this occasion. Matt expressed his concern for me hangin out with the local Lesos. You see the Divas are untamed and not at all bashful spirits and very forthcoming with any outrageous studies or insights. So I guess when women are not into flashing their eyelids and posing dumbly with a guy, they must be lesbians. Just an outrageous but stunningly true male deduction.
Woke up this morning to Ms Guided at the door and Ms Extreme who was too numb to leave the car, after her slip slidding stunt from last nite. And yeah girls just wanna have fun with as little cost as can be avoided or diverted, depending on the pace and time of events or encounters.
So my plan is to:
